Great versatility and a low center of gravity for stability are features shared by all MD models. They also feature a "Quick Shift" lever for changing cutting modes; a practical control located on the cutting unit and operated from the driver's seat, allows you to choose between mulching and ground discharge.
The ground discharge mode (side and rear discharge) is convenient when the grass is tall, making it suitable for those who do not mow regularly.
The mulching function is ideal for frequent mowing, with medium/short grass, cutting 1/3 of the height. This allows the clippings to be finely chopped and evenly distributed, thus creating the ideal conditions for nutrient reabsorption and new growth.
For proper mulching, it is also important that the lawn is dry and that the forward speed is well-regulated, a task that the hydrostatic transmission of the Grillo MD (2- and 4-wheel drive) performs impeccably.
Mulching cutting can also be performed after an initial pass in ground discharge cutting to obtain a better finish.
