MD 28 AWD is a hydro-static lawnmower that offers the highest performance in its category.
The 132 cm deck has a dual cutting function and is equipped with a 'Quick Shift' lever to switch directly from the driver's seat from mulching to rear discharge.
Equipped with 4 permanent drive wheels, it is suitable for cutting grass on steep slopes, reduced grip and low foliage trees. It is suitable for use in professional and private green areas where a perfect cut is required.
MD 28 AWD is equipped with the 724 cc Briggs & Stratton Professional 8270 OHV twin-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 22 HP (27 HP Gross power) and is equipped with a Cyclonic air filter.

The cutting deck has 3 blades.
The cutting height ranges from 2.5 to 11 cm, the continuous adjustment ("infinite" positions) guarantees a quality cut, the lever control is assisted by a gas spring for maximum comfort.
The cutting apparatus is made entirely of steel and is not afraid of impact with stones. The large-diameter blade shafts and the cutting transmission guarantee reliability even in the toughest working conditions for many hours and in absolute safety.
The tension of the deck belt is self-adjusting. The entire unit is kept parallel to the ground at all times, improving cutting quality even after years of use!
The blades are engaged by means of an electric button located near the steering wheel that activates the PTO's electromagnetic clutch.

The 'Quick Shift' lever allows you to change cutting mode while comfortably seated in the driver's seat, even during cutting and without interrupting work. There is no need to change blades.

Rear discharge cutting is practical when grass is tall, suitable for those who do not mow regularly.

The Mulching cut, which is ideal for regular mowing, finely chops up the cuttings, thereby promoting the re-absorption of nutrients by the soil.
In addition, Mulching cutting can be performed after the first pass in rear discharge cutting for a better finish.

The permanent 4-wheel drive transmission consists of 2 hydrostatic axles. The rear axle is equipped with a pedal-operated differential lock, which is indispensable for overcoming gradients in low-grip conditions.
The front axle is steerable and tilting, and is equipped with a hydraulic system that combined with the differential on the rear axle maintains permanent traction on all 4 wheels even at maximum steering angle and without wheel slip.
The speed is infinitely variable from 0 to 9 km/h and allows the precise choice of forward speed.
The mechanical steering is smooth and precise, the inner turning radius is 95 cm and allows excellent maneuverability even on paths full of obstacles such as plants, lampposts, etc..

The MD 28 AWD is equipped with large steel hydraulic tubes that connect the two drive axles. Combined with a cooling fan located on the rear axle, they help to keep the operating temperature of the hydro-static oil low, so that the transmission performs at its best even under heavy-duty conditions.

The MD 28 AWD is compact, with a low center of gravity and optimum weight distribution, and is built for maximum stability and operator safety.
The seat placed close to the ground, the vertical-axis endothermic engine positioned very low down, the central deck placed exactly between the 4 wheels and the battery placed on the front axle, make the machine exceptionally stable.

The roll-bar can be folded down in seconds to facilitate working under plants. Because of two practical levers, the roll-bar can be lowered or raised without the use of tools.

The MD 28 AWD is equipped as standard with suspended seat: driving is comfortable even after many hours of work!

The driving controls are ergonomic, the advance lever allows you to select the speed precisely. With the help of the brake pedal, the advance lever automatically returns to zero and the rear axle is braked. The parking brake on the rear wheels is lever-operated.

Frame, cutting transmission, plate, everything is built by Grillo in Italy, using the best materials and the latest technology to achieve high, consistent and 100% controlled quality.
The painting of Grillo machines is double-layer electrostatic powder. First there are the washing and preparation baths, then a first protective layer is applied which, with baking in the oven, is the best base for the finishing application. The second layer of paint and a further baking at 190°C give the characteristic hardness and gloss.
The Grillo MD 28 AWD is meticulously assembled and thoroughly tested by specialized personnel. The final testing of the MD 28 AWD includes a test with the engine running to check all functionality. A further and final guarantee for a high quality product.
